Mission of the Department of Microbiology

The Department of Microbiology of Dhaka Shishu Hospital Hospital has the following mission through its activities --

• Providing quality support in diagnostic microbiology at Dhaka Shishu Hospital and beyond
• Working as a reference laboratory in the field of microbiological research for childhood infectious diseases
• Train other centres in the counrty and beyond
• Work in collaboration of state-of-the-art organizations, institutions and bodies internationally to work about preventing the preventables
• Contribute in the public health perspective of childhood infectious diseases
